Welcome to the Queeriosity website
Exploring queerness and identity through hands-on creativity
40,000 LGBTQ+ students apply to UK higher education every year, according to UCAS, but they’re much less comfortable being open about their sexuality before that journey begins. We wanted to facilitate the time and space to let students explore queerness and identity through hands-on creativity, much like many of our students at Norwich do.
Since October, participants have taken part in practical workshops covering different areas, including fine art, character design, games writing, film & photography, and fashion & textiles. These online sessions highlighted LGBTQ+ artists working within those areas and allowed participants to develop their own creative practice.
This website showcases final pieces from the participants, in response to themes, ideas and concepts explored throughout the workshops.
